Accurate demographic data also helps prevent delays in claims processing, billing errors and lapses in coverage. This information can be found by downloading your book of business report in Select Health Link. If any information needs to be updated please contact the Marketplace for on exchange plans. Large Employer

Help employers maximize their plan value by actively encouraging preventive care

Preventive care is a high-value benefit that is often underused in employer-sponsored health plans. With most Select Health plans covering preventive care at 100%—with no copay, coinsurance, or deductible—employers have an opportunity to support workforce health while also helping manage long-term costs.

Frame the message

As an agent, helping employers understand why and how to encourage preventive care utilization can directly support a more sustainable healthcare strategy.

When talking with employers, position preventive care as:

  • A built-in benefit they should actively promote
  • A simple way to support employee well-being
  • A long-term strategy for managing healthcare costs
  • An easy win that requires no plan changes

How Select Health makes preventive care easier

While preventive services are widely covered, actually getting care can still be challenging. Select Health supports members by:

The employer’s role: encouragement drives utilization

Even when preventive care is free, employees may delay care due to lack of awareness or uncertainty about what’s covered. You can encourage employers to make a meaningful impact in utilization by:

  • Promoting preventive care throughout the year
  • Reinforcing that most services are covered at 100%
  • Encouraging employees to establish a primary care provider
  • Pointing employees to Select Health tools and support resources

A built-in cost management strategy

When agents and employers actively encourage employees to use their preventive care benefits, it supports the long-term sustainability of the health plan through reduced avoidable high-cost medical claims, and a healthier, more productive workforce.
