Plans provide an initial 12‑month term of coverage, with the option to renew for up to two additional 12‑month terms, not to exceed a total of 36 months of coverage.
Plans provide an initial 12‑month term of coverage, with the option to renew for up to two additional 12‑month terms, not to exceed a total of 36 months of coverage. After 36 months you may have the opportunity to explore other coverage options, such as an Individual plan if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period or during the standard Open Enrollment period.
The Enhanced Short-Term Limited Duration plan defines pre-existing conditions as: symptoms that would cause an ordinarily prudent person to seek diagnosis, care, or treatment within a two year period preceding the effective date of the coverage of the insured person or a condition for which medical advice or treatment was recommended by a physician or received from a physician within one year period preceding the effective date of the coverage of the insured person.
You can see any participating provider for covered services and receive the same benefits. If you use in-network providers for covered services, they shouldn’t bill you for additional charges beyond payment amounts allowed by the plan.
